Roster Size:

Draft: 

  • Startup Draft:
    • TARGETING AN AUGUST 1 START DATE @ 8:00 AM EST (2 Weeks from today)
    • All Players in the Pool, including 2022 Rookies
    • Draft order determined by random draw
    • 22 rounds
    • 3rd round reversal
    • 8 hour timer, timer deactivated from 10:00 PM EST – 8:00 AM EST each night
  • Annual Rookie Draft:
    • 4 Round Rookie Draft Annually; schedule TBD – will take place shortly after the NFL Draft
    • Draft order determined by reverse-order of standings from the prior year

Buy-In:

  • $25 + Share of MFL League Management, due at the start of each League Year

League Year:

  • Each year between ~March 1 and the conclusion of the League Championship Game
  • Rosters will be locked at the end of each season; no transactions from season-end until the beginning of the next League Year.

Prize Pool:  $300

  • $150 to the winner (6x your buy-in)
  • $100 to the runner-up (4x your buy-in)
  • $50 to the winner of the 3rd place game (2x your buy-in)

  • 1 – 2 QB (SuperFlex)
  • 2 – 6 RB
  • 3 – 7 WR
  • 1 – 5 TE
  • 0 – 4 PK
  • 11 Starters total

Scoring:

  • Passing:
    • 6 point passing TD
    • -4 points for an INT
    • 1 point for 25 yards passing (.04/per),
    • 2 point per 2 point conversions
    • 0.5 points per completion, -1 point per incompletion (this results in a bonus/penalty for above/below 66.67% completion)
  • Rushing:
    • 6 point rushing TD
    • 1 point for 10 yards rushing (.1/per),
    • 2 points for 2 point conversions
    • .5 point per 1st down
    • -2 for fumbles lost
  • Receiving:
    • 6 point receiving TD
    • 1 point for 10 yards receiving (.1/per),
    • 2 points for 2 point conversions,
    • .5 point per 1st down
    • .5 point per reception
  • TE:
    • Extra .5 point per first down
    • Extra .5 point per reception
  • Kicking:
    • 1 point for a made field goal
    • 1 point for a made extra point
    • Decimal scoring bonus for FG (37 yarder = 3.7 points, 24 yarder = 2.4 points)
  • Special Teams:
    • 6 point for any return TD
    • 6 points if your player recovers a ball in the endzone for a TD

Waivers:

  • Blind Bid Waivers will run once per week through the completion of the playoffs
    • Wednesday @Noon
    • After Friday @ Noon, First Come, First Served until 1:00 PM EST on Sunday each week
    • On Sunday at 1:00 PM EST, all players will lock in place until waivers the following week
  • $100 FAAB Budget allocated every year at the start of the League Year

Trades:

  • Highly encouraged
  • Trades are open from the start of the League Year through the end of Week 13
  • Teams allowed to trade next 2 seasons’ rookie draft picks (2023 and 2024)
  • No trade vetoes unless there is evidence of obvious collusion.
  • This is a friendly group and it’s small dollars, I’ll trust we won’t need rules that require advance buy-in before emptying the draft pick cache.

Injured Reserve:

  • 2 IR slots per team; players must be activated off IR once activated for NFL play.

Standings: 

  • Standings driven by points system similar to the NHL:
    • 2 points per win
    • 1 point for exceeding the average weekly point total

Playoffs: 

  • Top 4 Teams make the playoffs; weeks 16 and 17
  • Week 1:  1 vs 4, 2 vs 3
  • Week 2:  Winners vs. Losers

Commissioner:

  • Scott Frederick and Mike Merrifield will co-commish and will be empowered to make decisions in the best interests of the League.
